Battle for Blood Aug. 11

Atchison County Mobile Food Pantry

Atchison County Community Services, Inc., in partnership with Second Harvest, will hold a mobile pantry food drop in Tarkio, Missouri, Tuesday, August 16, weather permitting. The food drop will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 12:00 noon (while supplies last). Vehicles should line up on 3rd Street (starting at the intersection of 3rd and Main) and then turn onto Main Street. Diabetes self-management class offered online

“Living a Healthy Life with Diabetes,” an evidence-based program designed to teach strategies for managing diabetes, will be offered via Zoom. This program consists of six, 2.5-hour classes that will be held from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Classes will begin on August 25 and will run through October 6.
