SUMMARY:Three bridges in Holt\, Atchison counties scheduled for deck replacements
DESCRIPTION:The deck replacement project on the Mill Creek Bridge on Holt County Route T has been delayed due to contractor scheduling. The project was scheduled to begin on Monday\, April 7\, but has been delayed until Tuesday\, May 27. \nThe Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Emery Sapp & Sons\, Inc. to replace the decks of two bridges in Holt County and one in Atchison County. \nDuring construction\, Route T will be closed at the Mill Creek Bridge. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The Mill Creek Bridge is expected to reopen by mid-July 2025. \nOnce construction is complete\, crews will begin work on the U.S. Route 59 bridge over Interstate 29 in Holt County then the Rock Creek Bridge on Atchison County Route F. SUMMARY:“70s & 80s Reunion ~  End of Summer Bash”
DESCRIPTION:The “70’s & 80’s Reunion ~ End of Summer Bash” will be held on Saturday\, August 23\, 2025\, at the Atchison County Memorial Building in Rock Port. \nA social gathering for all who attended or graduated from Rock Port High School in the 1970s and 1980s will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Former coaches\, teachers and administrators are also invited to attend. \nGroovy’s Grub food truck will be on-site for everyone to buy their own meals. (Bring your own beverages.) Bottled water will be available. Class pictures will be taken at 6:45 p.m. The doors open to the public at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome! \nTwo epic tribute bands\, Poison Overdose and Motley Crucial\, will play live 80s rock music from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. \nYou don’t want to miss this rockin’ event! There is a $10 cover charge and you must be 21 or older to attend. The event is sponsored by the Rock Port Tourism Board.
