Students will meet at Blue Jay Stadium with their bikes at 7:15 a.m. and the bike ride will start at 7:30 a.m. The Rock Port Police Department will lead the ride and assist with traffic control. \nFamilies are encouraged to ride along. DESCRIPTION:The Tarkio Nutrition Center has announced that the Kids’ Summer Meals program is returning for another season of nutritious\, hot lunches – completely free for every child in the community. The program begins May 20. \nThis year they are taking the program a step further by introducing a brand‑new delivery option through the Fairfax Library. \nThanks to a collaboration with the library\, families can now pre‑order a meal each Tuesday\, Wednesday\, and Thursday and pick it up at the library from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. \nTo secure a spot\, call 660-736-5725 during the ordering window. Meals are reserved on a first‑come\, first‑served basis\, so be sure to call in advance. \nThe Tarkio Nutrition Center is looking forward to seeing smiling faces enjoying hearty\, balanced meals that keep kids energized for their summer adventures!

DESCRIPTION:The annual Memorial Day Tea will be held Sunday\, May 24\, 2026\, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the High Creek Church (15824 State Hwy. B\, Watson\, Missouri). This event is held inside the church\, so should there be sunshine or rain\, you will be free from the elements. You can expect the usual wide variety of cookies along with tea\, coffee\, and water. \nEveryone is welcome to come in and sit a spell and visit with whomever is there. Take a minute to catch up on the news or share a memory or two\, rest those tired feet\, and refresh the body with goodies before continuing on your day. If you wish\, bring your lawn chair and sit under the shade trees. \nAs a reminder\, all flowers not in permanently mounted vases\, flags\, decorations\, solar lights\, and mementoes must be removed by Monday\, June 8\, 2026. \nMembers of the High Creek Cemetery Association hope to see you Sunday\, May 24\, at the church on the cemetery grounds. DESCRIPTION:Atchison County Traveling Day Camp will be back again this summer! The Good News Church in Tarkio\, Missouri\, will be the host for this year’s Traveling Day Camp through Heartland Camps as they bring a Christ-centered day camp experience to our communities. \nThis year’s camp will be the week of June 15-19. (Note: the wrong dates were listed in the February 26 issue.) Students who will have completed K-6 for the 2025-2026 school year are encouraged to register. There is no fee to attend this camp. Camp hours are daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration is open now\, and space is limited to 84 campers.
