DESCRIPTION:Tonight and tomorrow (June 20 and 21) is the Tarkio Rodeo\, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Mutton Bustin sign up is at 6 p.m. with the first riders getting on their sheep at 6:30 p.m.) at the Tarkio Rodeogrounds (turn south at the 1st Street and Hwy. 136 intersection). Tickets at the gate are $15 for adults\, $10 for children 12 and under\, and preschool age and under are free. \nThis year’s stock contractor is Silver Creek Rodeo Company. \nThe 2025 Tarkio Rodeo announcer/“Man on the Mic” is Brandon McLagan. \nThe rodeo committee is very excited and looking forward to bringing The One Arm Bandit & Company to you as special entertainment this year. The One Arm Bandit & Company is a wild west show fit for a king and comes from Shidler\, Oklahoma. The show uses trained mules\, buffalo\, mustangs\, and longhorn steers in a variety of thrilling acts with the animals featured high atop a custom-made trailer. \nDalton Morris\, a barrelman and trick roper\, returns for his second year at the Tarkio PRCA Rodeo. \nCourtney McCollum\, Miss Rodeo Missouri 2025\, and Jordan Diercks\, Miss Teen Rodeo Missouri 2025\, will also be there. \nThere will also be some items for sale\, as well as concessions.

SUMMARY:Three bridges in Holt\, Atchison counties scheduled for deck replacements
DESCRIPTION:The deck replacement project on the Mill Creek Bridge on Holt County Route T has been delayed due to contractor scheduling. The project was scheduled to begin on Monday\, April 7\, but has been delayed until Tuesday\, May 27. \nThe Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Emery Sapp & Sons\, Inc. to replace the decks of two bridges in Holt County and one in Atchison County. \nDuring construction\, Route T will be closed at the Mill Creek Bridge. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The Mill Creek Bridge is expected to reopen by mid-July 2025. \nOnce construction is complete\, crews will begin work on the U.S. Route 59 bridge over Interstate 29 in Holt County then the Rock Creek Bridge on Atchison County Route F.
