DESCRIPTION:The Fairfax Farmers Market has begun for the 2025 season and will be set up at Broadway and Hwy. 59 every Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon throughout the summer. All vendors are welcome. There are no fees\, but you must supply your own canopy\, tables\, and chairs. For more information\, contact Marilyn Alldredge at 660-744-3146. \nBeginning Friday\, May 9\, the Fairfax Library will have books available for sale for a free-will donation from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This will be held every Friday in conjunction with the Farmers Market.

SUMMARY:Three bridges in Holt\, Atchison counties scheduled for deck replacements
DESCRIPTION:The deck replacement project on the Mill Creek Bridge on Holt County Route T has been delayed due to contractor scheduling. The project was scheduled to begin on Monday\, April 7\, but has been delayed until Tuesday\, May 27. \nThe Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Emery Sapp & Sons\, Inc. to replace the decks of two bridges in Holt County and one in Atchison County. \nDuring construction\, Route T will be closed at the Mill Creek Bridge. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The Mill Creek Bridge is expected to reopen by mid-July 2025. \nOnce construction is complete\, crews will begin work on the U.S. Route 59 bridge over Interstate 29 in Holt County then the Rock Creek Bridge on Atchison County Route F.
