DESCRIPTION:The City of Tarkio is hosting its City-Wide Clean-Up Weekend May 1-3\, 2026\, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day. Items may be placed in the dumpsters located at the gravel parking lot at 603 S. 3rd Street\, west of the swimming pool. This is for Tarkio residents only. There will be surveillance cameras monitoring the site. \nThings NOT allowed include: tires of any kind\, lithium batteries\, canned food\, cement\, sand\, rock\, plaster\, paint or other chemicals\, hot tubs or pool liners\, bodily fluids\, plants\, limb/yard waste\, household trash\, nor any trash that can be picked up by regular trash collection. Car batteries and lawn mower batteries may be placed in the container specified for metal items. For questions\, call 660-736-4941 and leave a message.

SUMMARY:RPHS Alumni Banquet
DESCRIPTION:The Rock Port High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday\, May 30\, 2026\, at 2:00 p.m. in the high school gym. Honor class pictures will be taken at 1:45 p.m. (oldest to youngest). Light refreshments and bottled water will be served. Free-will donations will be taken at the door. No reservations are required. \nThis year’s honor classes are: 70 year – Class of 1956\, 60 year – Class of 1966\, 50 year – Class of 1976\, 40 year – Class of 1986\, 30 year – Class of 1996\, 25 year – Class of 2001\, 20 year – Class of 2006\, 10 year – Class of 2016\, Graduates – Class of 2026. All RPHS alumni and guests are welcome and encouraged to attend. \nMembers of the Alumni Banquet Committee are: Lynn (Bailey) Hunter\, Marlene (Walter) Demott\, Malisa (Groff) Linthicum\, Jennifer (Umbarger) Vogler\, and Eric Chamberlain. DESCRIPTION:Atchison County Traveling Day Camp will be back again this summer! The Good News Church in Tarkio\, Missouri\, will be the host for this year’s Traveling Day Camp through Heartland Camps as they bring a Christ-centered day camp experience to our communities. \nThis year’s camp will be the week of June 15-19. (Note: the wrong dates were listed in the February 26 issue.) Students who will have completed K-6 for the 2025-2026 school year are encouraged to register. There is no fee to attend this camp. Camp hours are daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration is open now\, and space is limited to 84 campers.
