When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. “Freaky Friday – A New Musical,” based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the Disney Films hit, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.
The Liberty Theatre will present “Freaky Friday – A New Musical” Friday and Saturday, June 17 and 18, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 19, at 2:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, June 24 and 25, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 26, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets (general admission seating) are $15 for adults and $5 for 12 and under.
