The TEC met Tuesday, March 26, at Aunt Martha’s B&B with two members missing because of furnace repairs and replacements. That’s an unusual excuse for missing pitch. The winter’s sub-zero temps must have been stressful on furnaces as well as folks. Sharon Smith and Margie O’Riley took their place. One of the missing did show up for dessert. Some things are more important than pitch! High score went to Pam Cooper, second high to Sharon Smith, and low to Margie O’Riley.
Janell McQuinn was hostess and had made an updated version of bread pudding. That was an old standby for my mother and one of my favorites. This was a bit above the usual, using pineapple as well as raisins, and topping it with homemade lemon sauce.
The conversation was about the effects of the flooding so laughter was at a minimum this session. However, a few descriptions of exploring back roads when a CLOSED sign unexpectedly appeared provided some comic relief.
