Doug Weber of Rock Port, Missouri, is donating his agave plant to Lauritzen Gardens, a botanical center in Omaha, Nebraska. Doug has been growing it for years and each winter, dug it up and brought it into the house to keep it alive as this plant is native to the hot and arid regions of the Americas, not Northwest Missouri. The plant was brought to Doug from San Antonio seven years ago, weighing only one pound. It now weighs over 350 pounds.
