The Atchison County Development Corporation board met May 15, 2019. Board members present were: Lori Seymour, Bob Alldredge, Roger Martin, Craig Corken, Eryn Stepp, Jeff Meyer, and Lydia Hurst. Monica Bailey and Carol Clark were also present.

Board members voted to approve minutes as presented.

They also voted to approve financials as presented. CD #1336 has been rolled into a 15-month CD at 2.1%. An extension was filed for ACDC’s 2018 tax return.

Director’s Report

• Financial Oversight RFP: Ads were placed and a direct mailing was sent this month. Proposals are being accepted through May 24.

• Wind farm development: Ameren announced plans to purchase Outlaw Wind Farm upon its completion. Bailey will follow up with both Outlaw and Brickyard Hill developers for an update on the construction timeframe.

• Wind tax legislation update: HB 220 passed out of both the House and Senate and is currently awaiting the governor’s signature.

Old Business

• 2019 scholarship recipients were discussed.

New Business

• The group reviewed nonprofit support requests that have been submitted since the last meeting.  Bailey will be in touch with applicants.

• Due to the age of the systems, the board recommended replacing computers this year, instead of the printer, as previously planned.
