Weston Pierschbacher of Kellerton, Iowa, placed second overall in the Saddle Bronc riding earning $465.30 at the 27th annual Tarkio Rodeo, held Friday and Saturday, June 11 and 12. Atchison County Health Department’s Bicycle Rodeo

The Atchison County Health Department sponsored a Bicycle Rodeo Saturday, June 12, in the parking lot of Farmers State Bank in Tarkio. Kids were taught bike skills and bike safety education, were fitted with free helmets, and then were allowed to traverse through a zig zag (demonstrated by Reagan Dorrel), obstacle course, and slow race.  Continue Reading »

Tarkio Golf Club to host free youth clinic

The Tarkio Golf Club is hosting its free, youth golf clinic the mornings of Tuesday, June 22, and Wednesday, June 23. Out-of-control car slams into bank
