The Fairfax Elementary K-3 students performed the musical “GOAL!”

The Fairfax Elementary fourth grade band played “Rolling Along,” “Hot Cross Buns,” and “Africana Jam” on their recorders.

The Fairfax fifth and sixth grade choir sang “Lean on Me/Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.”

The Fairfax junior high choir sang “Shallow” and “Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World.”

The Fairfax junior high and high school bands joined their sounds to perform “Queen on Stage” and “Dynamite.”

The Fairfax K-12 students presented their spring music program May 5, 2021, in the high school gym.

The kindergarten through third grades performed the musical “GOAL!” by John Jacobson and John Higgins. Students performing included: kindergartners – Haleena Allen, Greenley Grossman, Harper Hicks, Presley Knight, Jonah Long, William Oswald, Alan Pickard, and Braleigh Stoner; first graders – Eli Auwarter, Aspyn Fast, Adelynn Giddinge, Trevelyan Hicks, Abel Holmes, Emma Roecker, Ryann Salmond, Octavion Smith, and Emmett Umbarger; second graders – Gabriel Cain, Zailynn Cook, Wendy Hurst, Zach Koop, Ava Oswald, Alex Pickard, Ayden Stoner, Joel Vance, Patrick Wheeler, and Parker Woodring; and third graders – Kaylee Allen, Dominick Bradbury, Geb Burke, Zander Grossman, Delaney Oswald, Mackenzie Oswald, Gabe Rhoades, Jaycee Stoner, Ben Umbarger, Alex Wintz, and Lela Wright.

The fourth grade band played their recorders to “Rolling Along,” “Hot Cross Buns,” and “Africana Jam.” Fourth graders include Deyton Burke, Avery Fast, Brenna Kingery, Riley Koop, Caroline Larson, Jude Long, Aliyah Pearce, Mason Rentschler, and Olivia Woods.

The fifth grade band played “Twinkling Stars,” “London Bridge,” and “Polly Wolly Doodles.” The fifth graders include: clarinets – Ace Allen and Carley Graham; baritones – Lataveon Brown and Jaxson Smith; percussionists – Tyler Duering and Stella VanGundy; trumpets – Leila Knight and Tabitha Nester; tuba – Knox Oswald; alto sax – Brady Umbarger; and flute – Emma Vance.

The sixth grade band performed “First Time Out” and “Mary Ann.” Sixth graders include: clarinets – Lexi Brown, Erin Eyman, and Johnathan Pickard; percussionists – Trent Frohn and Chase Gayler; trombone – Mason Kingery; tuba – Kenneth Kirkpatrick; alto sax – Connor Miller and Chloe Vernon; flute – Piper Morris; trumpet – Carter Oswald.

The fifth/sixth grade choir sang “Lean on Me/Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.” Choir members include Ace Allen, Carley Graham, Lataveon Brown, Jaxson Smith, Tyler Duering, Stella VanGundy, Leila Knight, Tabitha Nester, Knox Oswald, Brady Umbarger, Emma Vance, Alex Martin, Trent Frohn, Chase Gayler, Mason Kingery, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, Connor Miller, Piper Morris, Carter Oswald, and Chloe Vernon.

The junior high band performed “Eagle Mountain Overture.” Band members include: baritones – KayDee Duering and Kendall Kingery; alto sax – Braylon Foster and Joaquin Hill; trumpets – Cyle Gilpin and Austin Helfers; flute – Amelia Larson; percussionists – Cowen O’Riley, Luke Swinehart, and Clayton Vernon.

The junior high and high school bands joined forces to perform “Queen on Stage” and “Dynamite.” The high school band played the “Nathan Hale Trilogy.” The high school band members include: clarinets – Gena Mitchell and Stormie Wallace; baritone sax – Caden Brown; trombone – Trent Kingery; and percussionists – Cole Miller and Georgia Swinehart.

The junior high choir sang “Shallow” and “Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World.” Junior high choir members include Lillie Auwater, Levi Brown, Tate Johnson, Noah Miller, Grace Oswald, Alicia Ramirez, Quen Roop, Blake Simmons, Velvet Williams, Payton Woodring, KayDee Duering, Kendall Kingery, Braylon Foster, Joaquin Hill, Cyle Gilpin, Austin Helfers, Amelia Larson, Cowen O’Riley, Luke Swinehart, and Clayton Vernon.

Deb Wyatt, director, gave the following awards: Gena Mitchell, John Philip Sousa Award;  Conner Marshall, Patrick Gilmore Award; Stormie Wallace, Outstanding Marching Bulldog; Caden Brown, Step Up Award; Georgia Swinehart, Most Improved Bulldog; and Trent Kingery, Rookie of the Year Award.
