Elva Jean Bramble was born on October 8, 1929, in Deshler, Nebraska, to Milton F. and Edna (Heiden) Ahrens. Elva graduated from high school in Shenandoah, Iowa, in 1947.

On May 22, 1948, she married Paul Bramble at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Shenandoah, and they became parents of four children. Paul and Elva moved their family to Rock Port in 1969.

Paul passed away in 2008. Elva passed away on February 5, 2022, at a Rock Port care center.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Colene and Ronald Malmberg, Rexine Burroughs, Twila and Leonard Hutchison, Donis and Harlan White, and Frank Malzer; infant grandson, Christopher Deatz; and sister-in-law, Sonja Ahrens.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Glenn) Robinson of Omaha, Nebraska, Diana Gottsch of Papillion, Nebraska, Paula (Kenny) Herron of Rock Port, and Milton (Tracie) Bramble of Rock Port; brother, Bob (Karen) Ahrens of Shenandoah; sister, Pam Malzer of Nebraska City, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Jerry Burroughs of Shenandoah; grandchildren, Troy (Tracy) Andrews, Travis (Lindsey) Herron, Tasha Hurst, Tony (Bethany) Deatz, and Stacy (Fred) Peterson; great-grandchildren, Rowdy Andrews, Kelly Crosby, Jayda, Bryson, Mason, and Nora Deatz, Gage and Brooklyn Herron, Zoey, Ozey, and Izac Hurst, and Ethan and Calie Peterson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and interment will be Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm, Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the charity of donor’s choice. Care entrusted to Chamberlain Funeral Home, Rock Port. Online condolences may be left at www.chamberlainfuneral.com.
