Jerry D. “J.D.”Hall, 68, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, surrounded by family at a nursing facility. He was born February 9, 1957, to Howard H. “Jimmy” and Florine Hall in Fairfax, Missouri.
J.D. attended Fairfax schools and graduated in 1975. He adored his classmates and enjoyed visiting with them every year when he attended the Fairfax Fair.
He joined the United States Army in 1984 and served as a Military Police Officer for four years. He received the Army Commendation Medal along with other accolades and retired as a Corporal. After leaving the military, J.D. began a long career as a truck driver. He worked for 3D Trucking for the last two decades and became close friends with the owners, who were like family to him.
He married Janet (McIntosh) Enriquez in 1979. The couple later divorced but maintained a great friendship throughout their lives.
J.D. was an avid collector. He loved his watches, knives, guns and CB radios. He could always be seen adorning gold necklaces, a spectacular watch and a ring on each finger.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially for dinners and movie nights.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Florine, and a brother, Durall Hall. Survivors include his children, Jennifer Milbourne (Bob) of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Jared Hall of Oceanside, California; grandchildren, Ashton Stephenson, Payton Hall, and Hawke Milbourne; brothers, Dwayne Hall (Connie) of Altus, Oklahoma, and Leland Hall (Andrea) of Rolla, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Center Grove Cemetery in Westboro, Missouri. A celebration of life and fellowship will be held after the funeral at the United Methodist Church in Fairfax.
