Ella Meyerkorth set a new 275 Conference record in the 300 meter low hurdles with a time of 46.47. Kayla Acklin of Mound City set the former record in 1998.

 

Audrie Meyerkorth led the way in the junior high girls’ 200 meter dash, with Teagan Taylor coming in third and Kennedi Seiter finishing in sixth place.

 

Reese Herron had a big day, winning the 400 meter dash and the long jump. Coming in second was Taya Windham and third was Talyn Amthor.

 

Mikayla Windham led the entire race in the 1600 meter run winning first place in a time of 6:10.69. Harper Wood was near the front, too, finishing in fifth place.

 

Logan Ellis took first in the long jump with a jump of 5.44 meters.

 

Rylee Jenkins set a new meet record in the shot put with a throw of 12.26 meters. The old record of 12.12 meters was set by Alivia Baucom. Rylee then turned around and beat her own record in the discus with a throw of 44.59 meters beating the previous mark of 39.33 meters.

 

Tommi Martin cruises to the finish line in the 400, with Grace Oswald on her heels, going one and two.

 

Collin Hedlund won the discus with a throw of 41.01 meters.

 

Claire Martin ran the third leg of the 4×100 meter relay and passes the baton to anchor Dalaynie Drummond. EA placed third with 57.04.

Atchison County was well-represented at the 2024 275 Conference Track Meet held April 30, 2024, at Tarkio, Missouri. The Rock Port girls’ team won the high school meet, and the Rock Port girls’ and boys’ teams won the junior high meet.

Rock Port’s Rylee Jenkins set two records at this year’s high school meet. Her shot put distance of 12.26 meters beat the record of 12.12 meters set by Alivia Baucom of Rock Port in 2021. Rylee beat her own record of 39.33 meters from last year in discus with a throw of 44.59 meters.

Ella Meyerkorth of Rock Port set a high school record in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.74, beating Kayla Acklin of Mound City, who ran a 47.51 in 1998.

The EA girls’ 4×400 meter relay team of Grace Oswald, Tommi Martin, Grace Caudill, and Lizzie Schlueter set a new 275 Conference high school record by running a 4:17.98, beating the time of 4:18.09 set by Rock Port in 2018.

The Rock Port junior high girls’ 4×400 meter relay team of Reese Herron, Talyn Amthor, Braylyn Wood, and Audrie Meyerkorth ran a 4:37.10 for the new record. The Rock Port 4×400 meter relay team of Macie Hale, Aubrey Watkins, Rachel Vogler, and Ma-kenna Farmer set the former record of 4:40.17 in 2017.
