As part of the bicycle rodeo, sponsored by the Atchison County Health Department with assistance from the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office, Tarkio Police Department, Atchison County MU Extension, and Tarkio Rodeo Queens, participants receive free helmets (shown above with Debbie Bennett), bicycle checks and repair (shown below with Jim Crawford), and safety lessons before taking part in an obstacle course. Fifteen children participated in the event, with seven of those receiving a helmet and 12 receiving bicycle adjustments.

The Tarkio Rodeo Queens were on hand to assist the bicycle rodeo participants with their riding. Miss Rodeo Missouri Jordon Todd also presented the kids, including Bella Reeves, with certificates of completion.
