The Atchison County Library Summer Reading program began Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Tarkio Library. The children enjoyed making crafts (above) and reading/listening to books (at top). The program continues through Thursday and will even include a Wildlife Encounter experience, engaging STEM activities, and reading incentives and prizes that will encourage kids to keep turning pages all summer long.

The children also played outside games with pool noodles.
