Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the 2025 Board of Equalization hearing to order at 9:00 a.m. Present were all three commissioners, Assessor Rochelle Long, Deputy Okema Galston, and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission and Secretary to the Board. Citizen members Deanna Beck and Sam O’Riley were not present since there were no citizen protests scheduled. There being no further business to come before the Board, Presiding Commissioner Livengood closed the 2025 hearing.

Clerk Taylor reported that she and Treasurer Tasha Zach met with Angie Hughes, manager and assistant vice-president of MOSIP (Missouri Securities Investment Program) to discuss fixed rate investment options for county funds. Following the meeting they also visited with Brock Nuckolls, president of Citizens Bank & Trust, about securing the same options with them since they hold the county depository agreement.

The commission met with Judge Bob Rice, who provided an update on the Regional Mental Health Board and extended an invitation to Atchison County to join.

There being no further business, the commission adjourned.
