Helping Hands for Jesus will hold its fall rummage sale Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, October 8, 9, and 10, at the Rock Port United Methodist Church, 211 W. Opp. The rummage sale will be open 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Items will be half price from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Friday’s sale will be 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. and will feature $1 bags.

The Allen-Schiffern American Legion Auxiliary fall rummage sale will be October 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and October 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Tarkio Legion Building (3rd and Broad streets). Donations will be accepted through October 8.

The Westboro Methodist Church in Westboro, Missouri, is hosting its 85th annual Lord’s Acre Day Festival Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, 2025. Saturday’s festivities include a crafts/baked goods/miscellaneous sale, cake contest and auction, parade, ham or chicken and dressing lunch with all the trimmings, bounce house, corn hole tournament, children’s games, baby show, horseshoe tournament, and a chili and potato soup supper with sides. A Lord’s Acre Thanksgiving Worship Service will be held Sunday, October 12, at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

A pink-out volleyball event will be held Tuesday, October 14, at the Tarkio Activity Center when the East Atchison Lady Wolves take on the South Holt Lady Knights at 5:30 p.m. Kids’ Korner students will be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and a bake sale and auction will be held.
