Business Improvement Grants have been awarded to nine businesses this year (including River Rock Lanes). A total of $2,000 is still available.
The Community Cleanup and Beautification Grant fund still has $500 available.
New Business
The group discussed individuals who might be good Fairfax representatives on the board when Alldredge retires at the end of the year.
ACDC is exploring ways to secure land options in order to develop a focused marketing strategy for the recruitment piece of economic development.
A discussion was held about the importance of ACDC, in partnership with other entities, assisting with recruitment and/or relocation incentives to keep critical services in the county as owner/operators retire.
The meeting was then adjourned.
