The Brownville Concert Series is thrilled to welcome back Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano. The married couple returns to Brownville with their singular, soulful showmanship, drawing from an ever-evolving American Songbook. Their electrifying combination of warmth, wit, swing, and sensuality have made them the nightclub world’s most celebrated team. The shows will be in cabaret on Friday and Saturday, November 7 and 8, at 7:30 p.m., and in concert on Sunday, November 9, at 2:00 p.m. Sponsors are Blake and Julie Hurst and Jan McMullen.

Barbara Fasano has been hailed as one of the nation’s most stunning and soulful singers, a storyteller-in-song who demolishes categories. Eric Comstock, master of the American Songbook and one of the top performers of popular music working today, is as entertaining as he is musically savvy, and his audiences feel they’ve been to a terrific party where the music and the stories have been equally great.

In the spring of 2025, Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano launched their new CD, “Painting The Town,” to sold-out crowds at New York’s legendary Birdland Jazz Club, where they are Resident Artists. “Perfectly executed. “Painting The Town” is a testament to great tunes, impeccable musicality, and vocal prowess,” writes Marilyn Lester in The New York City Jazz Record. David Hajdu, music critic for The Nation adds, “Watercolors, bold strokes, and layers of impasto in song – Barbara Fasano and Eric Comstock paint the town as only they can, with deep and impeccable artistry.”

Eric and Barbara are regular performers at New York’s best nightclubs, and together they were among the last performers to headline at the Oak Room at The Algonquin Hotel. Their fast-paced and swinging exploration of the jazz and pop songbooks have audiences standing and cheering from coast to coast. The New York Times’ Stephen Holden raves, “exhilarating” and compares Comstock to one of his idols, Bobby Short. “Mr. Comstock and Ms. Fasano are turning the neighborhood into a hotbed of pleasure.”

Eric and Barbara are four-time winners of the MAC Award for Major Duo Artists, and they received the Donald F. Smith Award, presented by the Mabel Mercer Foundation. Their workshop in the art of performance and song interpretation “Sing The Truth” has enriched the lives and music of hundreds of vocalists. In addition to classes in New York, they have conducted master classes with The Musical Theater department at University of Michigan. They have been guest master teachers with the St. Louis Cabaret conference, The Michael Feinstein Songbook Initiative in Los Angeles where they coached gifted high school students, and Sanford Meisner’s legendary acting conservatory, The Neighborhood Playhouse.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $16 for students. They can be purchased online at www.brownvilleconcertseries.org, on Facebook or call 402-825-3331.
