Willy Wonka was portrayed by Quin Staten in Tarkio High School’s Musical Theatre production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Brody Wennihan played Charlie Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at THS this past weekend.

Zoe Madron portrayed Mrs. Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Isaac Vette portrayed Grandpa Joe in the Tarkio High School production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Veruca Salt was played by Taya Windham, front right, and her father, Mr. Salt, was played by Finn Hurst, back right. Olivia Schaefer, left, was Cherry Sundae.

Bo Peregrine, right, was Augustus Gloop and his mother, Mrs. Gloop, was played by Rhoni Caudill, left.

Violet Beauregarde was played by Bailey Wennihan. Her father, Mr. Beauregarde, was played by Jeremy Bomar.

Mike Teavee was portrayed by Treyton Brown, front, and Mrs. Teavee was portrayed by Macy Stepp, back.

Oompa Loompas Zoe Madron, Raelee Russell, Danika Agnew, and Delainee White kept the crowd entertained with their singing and dancing.
The Tarkio High School Musical Theatre Department presented Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to huge crowds this weekend. Friday night’s performance was sold out, as family, friends, and community members were eager to see the production.

The play was directed by Casey Martin, with Melody Barnett providing the musical direction and Nathaniel Wehmeyer the sound direction. Mark Staten was the light director, with Tucker Hurst and Bryar Wennihan providing spot tech. Lori Staten was the food director. The art students, Zoe Madron, Raelee Russell, and Kennedy White, with assistance from teacher Courtney Meyerkorth, painted the set. The Oompa Wranglers were Shannon Bruns and Jackie Martin.
