Atchison County had six instrumentalists taking part in the Northwest Missouri State University 4-State Honor Band January 17, 2026, in Maryville, Missouri. Performing were Rock Port musicians Brandon Athen (trumpet), Sophie Storm (percussion), Aniyah Williams (trombone), and Audrey Dougherty (clarinet) and Fairfax musicians Amelia Larson (flute) and junior Lexi Brown (clarinet).

Under the direction of conductor Ryan Linke, the band played “Byzantine Dances,” “Flourish for Wind Band,” “Romanesque,” “The Boom Boom Galop,” and “The Red Cape.”
