The City of Fairfax Board of Aldermen held a regular meeting Friday, February 20, 2026.

The meeting was called to order by Tabitha Wintz, mayor, at 5:30 p.m. Also in attendance were: Tristan Ray, Debra Wyatt, Ryan Kingery, and Stephanie Stevens, aldermen; Christy Stevens, city clerk; Kamron Woodring, public works superintendent; Steve Stevens and Ky White, city employees; Nathan Thomas, auditor; and Mike Klosek, Sr., county resident.

The tentative agenda was approved unanimously.

Nathan Thomas, RNA Accounting Partners, LLC, was in attendance to present the 2025 city audit. He discussed the audit and found no significant findings. Nathan left the meeting at 5:45 p.m.

The aldermen voted unanimously to approve the regular minutes of January 22, 2026.

They also approved accounts payable.

Old Business

The council opened and read the sealed bids for the city’s road grader. Tanton Ray won with a bid of $3,000.

Staff Reports

Terry Miller, city treasurer, submitted that all accounts are in balance.

Christy Stevens, city clerk, reported a resident’s court hearing for their property has taken place and the resident has two weeks to get their property cleaned up before further court action will happen. She also mentioned a potential fill-in person while she is on maternity leave.

Kamron Woodring, public works superintendent, reported that he has passed his wastewater certification test and that the city guys have been moving dirt and filling holes.

The aldermen voted unanimously to go into executive session to discuss personnel at 6:05 p.m.

The council came out of executive session at 7:20 p.m.

The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.

The next meeting is Wednesday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m.
