A Watson, Missouri, man received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Route J at 1:45 a.m. March 25, 2018. Travis L. Holmes, 34, was driving a 2000 GMC Sierra southbound on Route J when the vehicle travelled off the west side of the roadway six miles northwest of Fairfax, Missouri. Holmes over-corrected and the Sierra overturned across a creek and struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest on its top off the west side of the road.
Holmes, who was not wearing a seat belt, received moderate injuries and was transported to Mosaic Life Care by the Atchison-Holt Ambulance Service. The 2000 GMC Sierra was totaled and towed from the scene by Double M Towing. Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. S.M. Hux investigated the wreck. He was assisted by Trooper N.A. Regan, the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department, and the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District.
