The Watson Quilters met Thursday night met with Fran Phillips, Frances Nahkunst, Teresa and Jim Hickok, Linda Viets, Anita Armstrong, Holly Holmes, and Kay Gibson attending. Holly finished two more of her beautiful quilts.

Gib Holmes benefit, auction, raffle and fish fry, May 6th

The Gib Holmes benefit will be May 6, at 5 p.m. at the Watson Community Building. There will be a freewill donation fish fry, an auction by Willie Holmes, a raffle drawing for a Savage 17 gun, and choice of Earl Stoner’s necktie quilt, or Watson Quilters, “Jailhouse Rock” quilt. The other one will be auctioned. Need not be present to win. Tickets can be purchased from Earl and Rosita Stoner, Cody Gibson, Tammy and Tommy Gibson, Kay and Tom Gibson, Tasha Gronniger, or Anna Beth Wennihen at Quilted Farm. Prices are $1 each, 6 for $5, 15 for $10, or 35 for $10. Also in need of good auction items. Can notify any of the above to donate items. Come on over and help Gib out with all his medical expenses.
