On January 1, 2017 Steve Umbarger became partially retired. Jeff Umbarger of Tarkio, Mo. the son of Steve and Marsha Umbarger of Rock Port, Mo., is now the lease holder of the Tarkio Gas Service Company, LLC, (formerly Tarkio LP Gas.)
Steve became the owner of Tarkio LP Gas in the fall of 1988.
Steve said, “I have enjoyed the relationships built over the years while on the job and I will miss seeing those folks. The winter weather, well I will not miss.”
Steve mentioned he looks forward to more fishing time and would like to take his grandkids fishing.
