There are times when the weather makes us question why we choose to live here. This is one of those times. But, we have every convenience we need – four walls surrounding us, a furnace that works, lots of layers and comfy blankets, and each other. Unfortunately, not every animal has this luxury. PLEASE bring your pets inside and keep them warm. If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them.

East Atchison athletes will compete in their winter homecoming basketball games Friday, February 1, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Tarkio Activity Center. Homecoming kings and queens for both Tarkio and Fairfax will also be crowned during the festivities. Come out to support our youth!

Several local churches and organizations are helping us stay well fed this winter by hosting chili and soup suppers, fish fries and breakfasts. Be sure to take part!
