Jim Gerking who is serving on the board for the Brownville Historical Society donated a 1954 International Super H Farmall. Jim’s father was in the business for several year, which gave him the love for the red tractors. Jim purchased this tractor from an auction and had a friend restore it. Jim was pleased that the tractor went to a good home.
Steve Malone of Blaine, Kansas has been a frequent visitor to Brownville for many years. Malone recently won the 1953 Farmall Super H tractor that was given away during a drawing by the Brownville Historical Society (BHS). The BHS had the fundraiser for about a year, which raised more than $2,600. The Farmall Super H tractor was donated by Jim and Deanne Gerking of Brock, Neb. owners of Entire Recycling, Rock Port. The Gerking’s donated the tractor to the organization Preserving Our Past/Protecting Our Future campaign. The campaign has recently reopened two Brownville attractions that are located on Main Street. The Sage Memorial Museum along with the Office/Research Center and the Land Office.
