The 2016 all-state banquet was held on Sunday, December 11 at 6 PM at Tri-Meadows in Conception Jct., Mo. All athletes that were named to the all-state team or academic all-state team were invited to attend.
On November 22, the Missouri 8-Man Coaches Association released the names of the athletes for the 2016 All-State Team. The Blue Jays that made this year’s team and attended the banquet were: 1st Team All-State End/Receiver and 1st Team All-State Defensive Back- Tyler Jones with 47 receptions, 1098 receiving yards and 22 receiving touchdowns, 2nd Team All-State Quarterback- Jase Hughes with 98 completions, 34 touchdowns and 2053 passing yards, 2nd Team All-State Offensive Line- Dalton Brake with 53 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Not pictured is 1st Team All-State Defensive Line- Trenton Oswald with 11 sacks and 76 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 1 interception.
