The Liberty Theatre in Rock Port, Missouri, will be presenting Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” December 16-18, 2016. The musical will take place Friday, December 16, at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 17, at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 18, at 2:30 p.m. Liberty Theatre is located inside the Atchison County Memorial Building on Main Street in Rock Port.
“White Christmas” is a musical based on the Paramount Pictures 1954 film of the same name starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosmary Clooney and Vera- Ellen. The libretto is by David Ives and Paul Blake, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin.
“White Christmas” is a perfect Christmas story. It is a story of selflessness, giving, love and relationships. It has characters we can all relate to and it has a timeless message. A message of giving to others that started 2,000 years ago with a baby in a manger.
The four characters, you may remember from the original, along with who is playing them are: Clint Dougherty as Bob Wallace, Lee Goolsby as Phil Davis, Mikaela Sons as Betty Haynes, and Christina Hall as Judy Haynes.
“White Christmas” will be directed by Devon Sons.
Tickets $15 for Adults; $5 for Children and get $5 off an adult ticket with a toys for tots donation. It is general admission seating. Tickets go on sale December 2nd.
