The Fairfax United Methodist Church marked the 100th year of their church building with a full day of celebration Sunday, November 13. It was a sunny day, enjoyed by the 174 who attended the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Pastor Andrew Sanders led the service and was assisted by Northwest District Superintendent Cindy Buhman. Bishop Robert Farr of the Missouri area delivered the sermon entitled “By the Grace of God.” Donovan Jones and Jeremy Howe provided the music. A picture of all who attended was taken on the front steps of the church following the service. A bountiful dinner was served by the women of the church at noon followed by an afternoon program of music and reminiscing. The day ended with the cutting of an anniversary cake cut by Pastor Andrew Sanders. All who attended enjoyed the day of celebration and fellowship. (Photo by W.C. Farmer)
