The Fairfax Chapter No. 373 Order of Eastern Star held its installation of officers Thursday evening, October 20 at the lodge hall. Installing officers were: Christina Rayhill, matron; Rex Barnett, patron; Becky Dalbey, marshal; Rita Squires, chaplain; Elaine Hale, organist; and Barbara York presented the colors. The colors were tiny wooden rocking chairs, each in the star point color and they were made by Jim York. The rocking chair is the emblem this year.
Officers installed for Fairfax were: worthy matron, Kay Smith; worthy patron, Lloyd Nelson; associate matron, Mary Anne Pennel; associate patron, K.R. Pennel; secretary, Nancy Gaines; treasurer, Norma Bradfield; conductress, Deb Johnson; associate conductress, Sharron Brown; chaplain, Donna Howell; organist, Betty Nelson; Adah, Peggy Bonar; Martha, Betty Lindsay; Electa, Barbara Jones; warder, Rita Squires; and sentinel, Gene Bradfield.
Other guests included: Shirley Gordon from the Oregon chapter, Anna Barnett, Jim York, and Paula Guthrie from the Maryville chapter.
Refreshments were enjoyed in the fellowship hall.
