The Community Hospital-Fairfax Auxiliary was treated to a wonderful appreciation lunch by the hospital staff and also enjoyed a “relaxing” presentation by Jackie Martin. Robin Salfrank presented the Year in Review Slideshow and Gerry Tohill was awarded Auxilian of the Year. Twenty seven members were present to enjoy the festivities and the meeting that followed. Roger Steinkruger, hospital CEO, gave the administrative report and showed appreciation for the work the auxiliary does.
The auxiliary had the quilt raffle at the Fairfax Fair and participated in the CommuniTee Golf Tournament in Mound City in August. Members are now looking forward to participating in the Winefest on September 24 at Mound City. As always, the auxiliary also has new items in the hospital gift shop. The auxiliary will now be having its craft meetings to make tray favors for hospital patients directly following the regular meetings.
There are many ways to be active in the auxiliary, which greatly benefits our local hospital. If you are interested, please join in on the next meeting September 15 at 1:30 p.m. in the hospital conference room.
