What a great Work Weekend we had at Tarkio College this past weekend! We were all pleased with the response of alumni and community members who arrived on campus ready and willing to help! A HUGE Thank You to each one! There were a total of 17 alumni and 19 friends of Tarkio College who pitched in to paint, clean, scrape, move broken concrete – you name it!
The total hours worked was 286! Volunteers came from Washington, South Dakota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ne­braska, and all over Iowa and Missouri, especially Atchison County. There were teachers, high school students, businessmen, a farmer, and a number of us “retirees.” Work on the renovation will continue at least through October.
