Teen Support Group- C.A.R.E. of Atchison County will be offering a support group for teen girls ages 13-18 focusing on:
• Body Image • Self-esteem • Teen Dating • Coping Skills • Future Dreams/Goals •Healthy Relationships • Self-discovery • Bullying
The goal of this group is to promote positive thinking and positive actions among the group members through activities such as art, journaling, discussion, and role models.

ACDC sponsors first-ever job shadow day- On Tuesday, April 19th, the Atchison County Development Corporation put on the first ever job shadowing day. The seniors from our three local high schools were given the opportunity to go to different jobs in the county to observe different working positions.

The 10th annual Atchison County Mark Twain Battle of the Books competition took place on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Tarkio Resource Center. There were 50 4th-6th grade participants competing on 14 teams. This event is sponsored by Atchison County Development Corporation (ACDC), the Fairfax, Tarkio, and Rock Port School Districts, Kurt Sloop, Tarkio Avalanche, Fairfax Forum, Atchison County Mail, Tarkio Resource Center, Mule Barn Theatre Guild, Flower Mill, and many volunteers.
