The Watson Quilters met Thursday night with Donna Whelan, Linda Viets, Fran Phillips, Frances Nahkunst, Teresa & Jim Hickok, Anita Armstrong, Holly Holmes, Anna Beth Wennihan, Mason & Carter, and Kay Gibson attending. We got one soldier quilt completed and 3 more very close to being completed. That’s pretty good for a couple hours work. We will get them all finished next week. We had some sew and tell, with Donna showing us two quilts she had completed, and they were beautiful. Holly had one almost completed. Those two do such extraordinary work; always go the extra mile with their work.

ICE STORM
With all the latest weather technology, you would think the weather forecasters could come a little closer on predicting when the ice storm would hit. Here’s a few reasons they shouldn’t tell me it is going to hit three days before it actually does.
1. Yes, I stocked up on food, but I ate it all before the storm hit.
2. Yes, I saved water in every available container, but it soured before the storm hit.
3. Yes, I charged up all my electronics, but they were all run down before the storm hit.
4. Yes, we brought in a load of wood, but it was all burned by the time the storm hit.
Seriously, it could have been worse, we didn’t lose power out here, and I’m thankful for that.
