The Allen Schiffern American Legion Auxiliary Unit 199 met on April 8, 2019. Five members were in attendance at the beginning of meeting, which was not a quorum. A sixth member came later giving us the needed number of members for the transaction of business. Linda Kaye Payton called the meeting to order. Barb Hines read the minutes of the last meeting. Following a change of date, minutes were approved. Sheridan Mires gave the treasurer’s report.

The membership report was given by Barb. The County Government Day report was given by Sheridan, Barb, and Linda Kaye. Sheridan asked that we turn in any more hours or monetary donations.

The Legion Birthday has been changed to May 27, 2019. We will have a luncheon and birthday cake for those attending. Gift ideas were discussed and voted on.

KC Hines reported on the rummage sale. Take-in will be April 10-24 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. No weekends and no take-in on April 25, 2019. We will use that day to finish setting up and organizing. The sale will be Friday, April 26, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 27, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

An idea was discussed on how we could help flood victims and Sheridan will talk with Community Services to get that project rolling.

There was no further business. The meeting adjourned. The next meeting will be May 13, 2019, at 5:30 p.m.
