Danny Noland prepares to drive his motorcycle from the scene of an accident on April 25. Thankfully, Danny only received minor injuries in the collision.

A two-vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 59 in Tarkio late afternoon on Thursday, April 25, 2019. An SUV, driven by Nancy Daugherty of rural Tarkio, Missouri, attempted to cross the roadway from west to east at the intersection of Hwy. 59 and Maple Street.

Due to an obstructed view because of traffic, she crossed the roadway and drove into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Danny Noland of rural Tarkio. The motorcycle collided into the passenger side of the SUV and spun almost 360 degrees before coming to rest at the intersection.

Danny, who was wearing a helmet and protective clothing, received minor injuries and Daugherty, who was wearing her seatbelt, was uninjured in the crash and the vehicles were driven from the scene.

The accident was investigated by the Tarkio Police Department. Motorists are advised to please be aware as with warmer weather, more motorcyclists are out and about and do not cross the roadway until you have a completely clear view of oncoming traffic.
