The TEC Club met Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the home of Deb Johnson. Rock Port welcomed us with sunny skies, but before five o’clock there were warnings on the screens. It always amazes me how many connections we have to the outside world at our fingertips. Weather didn’t bother Deb for she won high score, with Pam Cooper winning second high and only one point behind the winner. Merylan Lowrey had low score.
Pam was hostess, serving a delicious Mississippi Mud cake with ice cream, and I think as a personal favor, she also had whipped topping available. I opted for both.
The chatter started with all the phone weather warnings, and switched to tales of sewer rats, ground squirrels, vultures, etc. It got so amusing that Deb’s dog had to sit on my lap to take it all in. We all left with smiling faces despite the storm clouds on the horizon. We can’t bother with weather when there is a pitch game to be played.
