The Atchison County Memorial Building in Rock Port turned into a galaxy full of planets and moons Tuesday morning, July 9, for 22 youngsters ages 6 – 8. The children (pictured above) showed off their planets in order from the sun. Kids 9-12 years old (below) learned about Rocket Science that afternoon. The 14 youth attending built rockets and learned about the power space travel requires. The Mad Science Program was sponsored by the Atchison County Library.
