Not content to have just finished an undefeated football season, the Blue Jay squad, under the direction of Coach Hinderliter, played a “family affair” on the local field last Friday evening. A good attendance watched the boys play as hard as if against an out-of-town rival. The squad was divided into two teams called the Rocks and the Ports. The game was won by the former, 12-0. Both teams “played for blood,’’ with Hinderliter doing the officiating and making the boys perform up to regular season par.
This year the Atchison County Farm Bureau will celebrate its silver anniversary, a quarter of a century of service to the farmers of Atchison County. Atchison was one of the early organizers of a county Farm Bureau.
