The Tarkio Junior High Scholar Bowl hosted a competition Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Tarkio High School. Coached by Mark Staten, team members include, from left to right: front row – Claire Martin, Brooklyn Wennihan, Alex Barnett, and Drew Sanders; and back row – Lizzie Schlueter, Lexi Bywater, Gabe Harms, Kamryn Brown, Abbie Harms, and Jillian Hannah. Tarkio defeated Jefferson 160 to 140 and lost to Osborn 100 to 140. They also competed January 9 at Northeast Nodaway with scores of: Northeast Nodaway 130 vs. Tarkio 160; West Nodaway 210 vs. Tarkio 80; and Jefferson 200 vs. Tarkio 80.
