Fairfax Sorosis met February 17, 2020, at the Fairfax Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Diana Vernon presented a program about her trip last spring to a place we seldom hear about, Romania. She had photos of people and places, as well as things she had brought home with her. She also had pictures of young children playing baseball wearing t-shirts from the Kansas City Royals. Baseball is a very popular sport there and the Royals give shirts to the children.
I had to consult the computer to see where Romania was. Diana’s program was so comprehensive that I cannot begin to do justice to it. I would recommend you contact her for a very entertaining and educational program.
After the business meeting, Carolyn Pyeatt, hostess for the day, served a festive raspberry poke cake to end a very productive meeting.
