We’ve lost count of how many years Tarkio Elementary third grade students have performed a parachute routine. We know it has to at least be around 50 years, right? But despite the longevity, it is an event that never gets old. Not only do the students look forward to learning a routine and performing each year, but the community’s residents also look forward to watching it. This year’s routine even had to be altered on the last day due to 10 students being ill and unable to participate. But that didn’t stop the kids from wowing the crowd at the TAC on Tuesday evening, February 18, 2020.

The Tarkio Elementary third graders sang “The Star Spangled Banner” before the start of the East Atchison and Union Star basketball games Tuesday, February 18, at the TAC.
