The Rock Port Extension Club held its February meeting with Mrs. Hattie Chastain, with 12 members present. A demonstration on conservation of time and energy was given. The leaders were Mrs. Percy Field and Miss Faye Hughes.
A wedding of a returned serviceman who has seen much action overseas and a popular young lady of the community was consummated at the Lutheran parsonage Thursday afternoon, March 22, when Miss Lois Marie Cooper became the bride of Cpl. W.H. Herron. Rev. D.L. McConnell performed the double ring ceremony.

Rock Port’s thin clads took the Class S third place trophy at the State Indoor Track Meet last Friday at Columbia. The Blue Jay 800-yard relay team (Tom Lutz, Randy Bunn, and Dave Meyerkorth) came in second with a time of 1:14.4. Rick Meyerkorth took fourth place in the 65-yard low hurdles with a time of :08.2. Rock Port needed a first place in the final event to take the third place trophy, and out of nowhere they did by placing first in the mile relay with a time of 3:44.9. Members of the mile relay team were Larry Tharp, John Webster, Rick Meyerkorth, and Randy Bunn.

Jared, Jalainey, and Journey McMahon are proud to announce the birth of their baby brother, Jayden Markus. Jayden was born at 3:11 a.m. on March 27 at the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn, Nebraska. Parents are Mark and Marcy McMahon of Rock Port, Missouri. Grandparents are Jerry and Lois McMahon and Greg and Betty Chamberlain.
Judy Bradley and Janice Groff have been putting in overtime hours getting their new shop, Kottage Keepsakes, ready to open. They have many items, including antiques, collectables, handcrafted items, and beautifully sewn quilts.
