State Representative Allen Andrews announced April 16 that he had received word that Enel North America (wind farm owner/operator) will be providing much-needed funding to var-ious organizations in Atchison and Nodaway Counties that have been affected by COVID-19.

Enel will be donating $50,000 to Community Hospital-Fairfax, $5,000 to the Nodaway County Senior Citizens Center, and $25,000 to volunteer fire districts in Skidmore, Graham, Barnard, and Polk.

Representative Andrews remarked, “I am grateful for Enel’s corporate responsibility toward their host counties . . . not only do they provide literally millions of dollars in greatly needed tax revenue for rural Missouri, but they also go above and beyond to support our schools, fire, police, and ambulance districts. Thank you Enel for your support of rural Northwest Missouri!”

Enel operates the 300 MW Rock Creek wind farm in Atchison County through its renewables arm Enel Green Power and is currently constructing the 236.5 MW White Cloud wind farm in Nodaway County.
