The Atchison County Commission met Thursday, May 14, 2020. Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood, North District Commissioner Jim Quimby, South District Commissioner Richard Burke, and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission.
Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills were reviewed and approved.
The commission met with Collector Diane Livengood to review a sealed bid for Parcel 5102-16-000760 located at 403 S. Main Street in Rock Port. Collector Livengood reported that this property has been on the delinquent tax rolls since 2006, offered at every tax sale since the delinquent date with no bids and is a property that a sealed bid can be offered. The bid presented was from Javier Aranda, St. Joesph, Missouri, in the amount of $500. Collector Livengood reported that the bid covers all advertising costs and it would be great to get this property back on the tax rolls. The commissioners voted to accept the bid in the amount of $500.
The commissioners then went to inspect 150th Street and additional roads in the county.
There being no further business, the commission adjourned.
