The Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax, Missouri, Food Pantry recently held a contest for teams to compete to collect as many items as possible. July 1 was the official end of the contest, but the blessings will be felt for much longer!

The efforts of the Mark Staten Team, Janene McEnaney Team, Tammy Grossman Team, Cody Helfers Team, Roseann Nemyer Team, and Wendy and Jo Hurst Team made this a successful endeavor.

Every item and every dollar was counted as one point. A total of 6,154 items and dollars were counted, 1,861 items and $4,293 were collected. Even though weight didn’t count in the contest, almost 2,000 pounds were donated.

Here are the teams’ point breakdowns: Janene’s Team – 2,366; Tammy’s Team – 1,845; Roseann’s Team – 612; Wendy and Jo’s Team – 557; Mark’s Team – 540; and Cody’s Team – 234.
