The following cases were heard August 4, 2020, in Atchison County Circuit Court before the Honorable Roger M. Prokes at the Atchison County Courthouse in Rock Port, Missouri:

State vs. Courtney P. Bartles – Plea/Trial Setting on Felony Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Case called. The state appears by PA Hurst, the defendant appears without an attorney, and with a plea agreement enters a plea of an amended charge of Possession Of A Controlled Substance. The court sentences the defendant to four years in the Dept. of Corrections, but suspends execution of sentence and places defendant on five years probation with the state Probation & Parole, 30 days shock incarceration, with credit for time served, and abide by all conditions of Probaton & Parole. Costs are waived.

State vs. Richard L. Boyd – Arraignment on Felony Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid; and Unlawful Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. Sentencing hearing scheduled for September 8, 2020.

State vs. Clifford S. Chaney – Probation Violation Hearing on Felony. Probation violation hearing scheduled for September 8, 2020.

State vs. Corey T. Jones – Probation Violation Hearing on Felony. Probation violation hearing scheduled for September 8, 2020.

State vs. Jessica L. Allen – Probation Violation Hearing on Felony. Probation violation hearing scheduled for September 8, 2020.

State vs. Curtis Jackson – Probation Violation Hearing on Felony. Probation violation hearing scheduled for September 8, 2020.

State vs. Justin M. Scott – Plea/Trial Setting on Felony. Case called. The state appears by APA Klima. The defendant did not appear and a capias warrant is ordered to issue.
